This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website www.helloati.com (the “Site”), use our mobile app (the “App”), or install and use our Shopify app (the “Shopify App”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using our Site, App, or Shopify App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of data when you use our Site, App, or Shopify App:

Personal Data: When you visit our Site, register, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or install our Shopify App, we may collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment information, or other contact details.

Shopify Merchant Data: When you install our Shopify App, we collect:

  • Your store name and URL

  • Store owner or admin contact information (such as email address)

  • Product data from your Shopify store, including product titles, descriptions, variants, SKUs, prices, and inventory levels.

This data is synced to our backend system in order to enable electronic smart label management and is used exclusively for providing the services described by our app. We also comply with Shopify’s requirements regarding merchant and customer data access and deletion.

Usage Data: Our mobile App collects information about how users interact with the App, including navigation flows and feature usage.

Diagnostic Data: We collect device information (e.g. device model, OS version) and error logs, such as crash reports and failed API requests, to maintain app performance and reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • For Shopify App Functionality: To sync your Shopify product data to our system so we can associate products with electronic smart labels and keep label content accurate and up to date.

  • For Support and Communication: To contact you about onboarding, troubleshooting, system notifications, and relevant updates to your Shopify integration.

  • For Website, App, and Shopify App Improvement: To personalize your experience, improve our products, and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • For Analytics: To evaluate and improve platform performance and user experience.

  • For Transaction Processing: To complete transactions and provide services you’ve requested.

  • For Marketing (if opted in): To send occasional product or service updates via email.

  • For Administering Promotions or Surveys: To manage contests, promotions, and feedback efforts.

We do not use your synced product data for any purpose other than delivering our core label-management service.

3. How We Protect Your Information

We use technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal and business data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

4. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal or product data. We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers for infrastructure, analytics, or error tracking purposes—strictly for supporting our Site, App, or Shopify App operations. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

5. Third-Party Links

Our Site or App may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We encourage you to review their privacy practices separately, as we are not responsible for their content or policies.

6. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of our Site, App, or Shopify App after changes implies acceptance of those changes.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain synced product and contact data only as long as necessary to provide our services.

If you are a Shopify merchant and would like to delete your store’s data, you may do so using one of the following methods:

  • Submit a data deletion request via your Shopify admin dashboard, as per Shopify’s data protection guidelines.

  • Initiate a request through our Shopify App’s data erasure endpoint, which is automatically triggered when a store uninstalls our app or submits a request via Shopify’s built-in data request tools.

You may also contact us directly at [email protected] for questions related to data retention or deletion.
